2023 Earth Day Celebration 

The Grand Traverse County Resource Recovery (RecycleSmart) Department is excited to announce that we will be hosting an Earth Celebration Event at the Civic Center in Traverse City on Saturday, April 22nd, from 11am-3pm.  The attractions so far are listed below.


*Live Music with Seth Bernard and Chris Good, 12 to 2p.m. 

*Meet Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl  

*Scavenger hunt with prize drawings 

*Make-and-take eco-crafts

*Balance Bike Library, and helmet and bike fitting 

*Butterfly Exhibit 

*Interactive display of Mattress Recycling

*Ford Lightning All Electric Truck 

*Free Paper Shredding (Drop Off Only)

*Active Composting Demonstration  

*Face Painting
