Medication Dispenser Units

About the Systems

  • A Medication Dispenser Unit is a smart, medication dispenser that reminds patients to take their medications.  The Commission on Aging has several types of units, the two main units are:  A MedMinder locking unit ensures that medications are kept safe and secure, and a 30 day stack unit that comes with or without an attached alarm system.
  • In addition to these units the Commission on Aging also carries several two week units that have an easy pop up container.

The Medication Dispenser Units feature:

  • Audible and visual reminders to hearing-impaired or low-vision subscribers.
  • Units offer 7 days of medications with up to 4 doses per day, or 14 days with up to 2 doses per day.
  • Provides peace of mind to client's caregivers.  The caregiver/family or Commission on Aging Nurse sets up the medications, and the unit provides a reminder to the client.  Only that day's medications will be available to the client.
  • Two different types of units are available.
