Mission Statement

The Drain Commissioner is dedicated to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of Grand Traverse County citizens.

Duties & Responsibilities

Drain Commissioners are responsible for many aspects of surface water management. Through legislative enactment the Drain Commissioner creates and maintains the county drains and provides storm water guidance and support to the county.

Office Hours & Appointments

The Drain Commissioner's office hours are part-time by appointment.
