How do children get involved?
Students are referred to the program by their teachers and counselors. Learning Partners is a prevention program targeting at-risk youth. A typical Learning Partner student needs emotional support and social guidance, in addition to academic help. Students in this program are not court involved. The Program Coordinator matches the student with a Partner on the basis of input from both parties.
