Administration

The Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners appoints the County Administrator. 

The County Administrator is responsible for carrying out the policies, goals, and projects adopted by the Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners. The Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the County and the supervision of the appointed department managers. He ensures that, whenever possible, county departments work together to provide the best possible services to the residents of Grand Traverse County.
