Food Safety

The Grand Traverse County Health Department's Food Safety Program ensures that food service establishments are in substantial compliance with the Michigan Food Law. 

This includes: 

  • Inspecting and licensing restaurants, festival food booths, and mobile food vehicles 
  • Investigating foodborne illness complaints and outbreaks 
  • Reviewing plans for new or remodeling facilities 
  • Providing food safety education

Food Service Forms: 

Please read the Plan Review instructions before submitting your form. All submissions must be complete, including an application, worksheet, SOPs, menu, layout, and Plan Review Fees.
