Adolescent Health

The Grand Traverse County adolescent health clinics offer a variety of services to keep the adolescents of our community healthy and in school.

Animal Control

Limited Animal Control services are provided for the control of rabies and other zoonotic diseases.

Clinical Health

The Grand Traverse County Health Department holds clinics by appointment for a variety of services including immunizations, flu vaccinations, reproductive health (for men and women - including education, counseling, birth control, annual gynecological exams and pregnancy testing).

Community Connections

Community Connections is a free program that provides assistance connecting resources to adults, children, and families. Services are provided with supportive phone calls, office visits, and home visits by a community health worker, nurse, and/or social worker.

Public health emergency preparedness works to assure our community is prepared for a public health emergency.

Environmental Health

The Environmental Health Division of the Grand Traverse County Health Department protects the public health through programs established by the Public Health Code and local Sanitary Ordinances.

Maternal Child Health Programs focus on improving the health of mothers, children, youth and families. This includes socially vulnerable populations plus the environments and polices that affect their well-being.

The Office of the Medical Examiner investigates deaths that are of concern to the public health, safety, and welfare of the community.
