The Grand Traverse County Court Appointed Special Advocates are dedicated to improving the lives of the children in the foster care system.
Duties Include:
- Writing court reports and attending court hearings pertaining to the children.
- Visiting with the children, parents, family members, teachers, caseworkers, and anyone who can share personal knowledge of the children.
- Committing to the assigned case for its entirety, which can be more than one year.
- Successfully completing the CASA training offered by Volunteer Services.
