Reproductive and sexual health

The Grand Traverse County Health Department offers free or low-cost reproductive and sexual health services for people ages 12 and up. Michigan law allows teens to receive services without parental consent.

Available Services:

  • Annual exams
  • Breast exams
  • Genital exams
  • Birth control (pills, injections, implants, IUDs, NuvaRing, and others)
  • Free condoms (no appointment needed)
  • Cervical cancer screening
  • Pregnancy testing
  • HIV testing
  • Some Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) testing and treatment

We can bill insurance, but also have a sliding fee scale for uninsured people. Medicaid is also accepted. Adolescents will be charged based on their income, not their parents. We will never turn you away because of your inability to pay.

If you want to learn more or schedule an appointment, call us at 231-995-6111. If time allows, walk-ins are welcome.
