Records Request

Requesting Records

We can process requests made through mail, email/online form, or in person at our office. The fee for a certified copy is $10 plus $1 per page record. Fees may be paid by cash, check, money order, or credit or debit card.

Request By Mail

Include the following information:

  • Name of Plaintiff and/or Defendant
  • Case Number 
  • Date and Title of Document(s) 
  • Mailing address to send the record
  • Check/Money Order

Request By Email/Online Form

  • Complete the online request form
  • Process credit card payment AFTER receiving email response from our office. 

Civil Record and Criminal Record Index Searching

  • The public research terminal is available to use free of charge at the Hall of Justice
    • Copies available at $0.50/page
  • Email research requests to courtrecords@gtcountymi.gov
    • Copy of a Recent Register of Action $3 
    • Copy of a Register of Action from 1994 or earlier are $10
