Judges
Proceedings held before Honorable Charles M. Hamlyn or Honorable Kevin A. Elsenheimer may be transcribed by the Judge's assigned Court reporter. Each reporter will handle the transcript arrangements and payments directly with the requesting party. Upon written request, transcripts are available for all proceedings. Requests should include the case number, the date and time of the hearing, the presiding judge and a deposit before the record can be transcribed. Expedited requests for transcripts may be accommodated for an additional fee, if possible. A person making a request must contact the Court Reporter who covered that hearing:
Karen M. Copeland, CSR 6054

Jessica L. Jaynes, CSR 7597

email the Circuit Court Administrator's office or call 231-922-4701 to determine the Court reporter's name and contact.
Circuit Court Transcript Fees
Payment for transcription services is capped at the following rates per House Bill 5046: $3.75 per original page and $0.90 cents per page for each copy, unless a lower rate is agreed upon. The minimum charge for a transcript is $50.00 for the original.
Referees
Domestic relations or personal protection matters held before Referee Matthew N. Hagen or Referee Jennifer R. Gray may be transcribed by an outside reporting service. Please contact a Court reporting service to place your request. That agency will obtain the audio recording from the court and transcribe it for you. You will pay the transcription agency directly.
