Grand Traverse County April Announcements: Voices of Resilience: Hope and Healing April 9, 2025
The Grand Traverse County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is honored to announce that National Crime Victim Rights Week will be commemorated April 6-12, 2025, with the theme- Connect - Kinship - Healing.
This year’s theme is a call-to-action for us all to recognize that shared humanity should be at the center of supporting all survivors and victims of crime. KINSHIP is a state of being with survivors that drives vital connections and increases access to services, rights, and healing. KINSHIP is where victim advocacy begins.
Recent focus in the criminal justice system and in many communities has been on the offenders. Crime victims are often forgotten. These victims need and deserve our support. Victims have the right to have their voices heard.
The Grand Traverse County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office will be hosting Voices of Resilience: Hope and Healing on April 9, 2025. Anna Nasset, author, activist, international speaker and survivor, will speak about her experience as a stalking survivor. Local crime survivors will also be speaking about their experiences. Doors open at 5:30pm. Speaking will begin at 6pm. This event will be held at Kirkbride Hall, 700 Cottageview Dr, Suite 200, Traverse City.
