January 12, 2026: Governmental Center First Floor Remodel and Temporary Office Relocations

Grand Traverse County offices on the first floor of the Governmental Center are undergoing a remodel to modernize and improve the overall work environment, update finishes, and create a more efficient layout for staff and the public. This project reflects our commitment to providing a welcoming and functional space for community services.

To complete the remodel, the Treasurer, Register of Deeds, and County Clerk Vital Records offices will be temporarily relocated. These moves are necessary to clear space for construction and will be completed in phases to ensure all public services remain operational throughout the process.

Renovations are expected to be complete with offices returning to the first floor of the Governmental Center by mid-March, 2026. We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this transition. Additional details will be posted on the county website and at the Governmental Center, and as always, staff will be available to assist visitors in finding the services they need.
