Healthy Futures is a nurse-led, free family support program that provides families with access to community services, resources, and information. The program enhances the health of expecting parents and their families after childbirth. Our Grand Traverse County Health Department team collaborates with Munson Healthcare and other healthcare providers to assist you throughout your pregnancy's journey, postpartum care, and support for the newborn baby, including feeding and nurturing.

Healthy Futures Provides:
- Free breastfeeding support and education provided by Registered Nurses and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants.
- Newsletters and optional text updates tailored to the child's age or expected due date, providing helpful tips, reminders, and relevant information until the child reaches five years old.
- Home visits to weigh your baby and conduct a standard blood pressure screening after childbirth.
- Support staff are available to discuss any questions you may have about infant feeding, sleep patterns, or other concerns.
